Benet,
I use Premiere's Adobe MPEG Encoder for MPEG and DVD output, and these are the settings for DVD PAL (since you're in the UK).

Video settings:
video stream type: DVD
frame size: 720x576
frame rate: 25.000
aspect ratio: 4:3 Display
bitrate: variable, avg 4.20, max 8.00

Audio settings:
layer: 2
bitrate: 224 kbps
frequency: 48.0 kHz
mode: stereo
CRC: on

Multiplexer settings:
program stream type: DVD
bitrate: variable, 10.08 Mbps maximum
maxfile size: off

Hope this helps,
G

Hi there,
Can anyone point me to a definitive set of parameters for MPEG-2 encoding
for DVD?
Thanks in advance
Benet

Guys

We're looking at a replacement/backup for our old stream genie and I've
been searching hi an lo for something which combines portability,
encoding and vision mixing. I've just been directed to this

http://www.newtek.com/products/vt/produc...ction.html

It doesn't seem to do encoding per se, but they say they can put an
additional capture card into it so that it feeds back into itslef to do
the encode.
It looks pretty good as a vision mixer but, has/is anyone using this for
live event stuff, if you are you opinion will lbe appreciated.

Cheers streamies

Ben
