HD video to streaming video
High-definition video or HD video refers to any video system of higher resolution than standard-definition (SD) video, and most commonly involves display resolutions of 1280×720 pixels (720p) or 1920×1080 pixels (1080i/1080p). The top 4 HD video recording formats are: MPEG2, MPEG4, H.264, and WMA-HD.

In order to stream your HD video on your private site or blog. You need convert it to flash format. Because there are more then 90% internet user installed Adobe Flash Player. And like YouTube they will convert the uploaded video to FLV format and now the HD mode videos are actually H.264 or F4V format.

Here I suggest you to use Moyea Flash Video MX 6 to do it. The following are the steps:

Step1. Download and install Moyea Flash Video MX Pro 6.

Step2. Import the MTS file. You can edit the video in the first step, like trimming/cropping/adding watermark/adding special effects etc.

Step3. Set the export format and export folder. You can convert your video to FLV or SWF format, and in FLV format you also can choose to export H.264 FLV or normal FLV.

Step4. Add a web player for your video. Here you can add a redirection on your video with the navigation on click function or navigation at end.

In the Pro version you can customize the player skin as you wish.

At last convert it to Flash video. This software can generate a HTML file as well; you can open it with notepad and copy code. Or you can use the HTML file directly. Hope will help. By the way if you do not need to edit the player skin we suggest you to use the STD version and it is cheaper.

RE: HD video to streaming video
I just read the article in Dec2009/Jan2010 page14 streaming media magazine "When HD is not HD" and I saw the advertisement from ON2 technology about their broadcast quality being 720P 30FPS in under 1200kbps.

I am confused why you have not included the ON2 products in the your product list.

The streaming media article article I reference above says that 'everyone' is misrepresenting HD quality streaming and in almost all cases they are below the 720P that ON2 is using. It is clear that consumers like I am need help in understanding product claims.

You are more knowledgeable than I having written an informative article but my question is sincere as I learn more.
