server utilization profile
looking for typical h/w utilization profile for your streaming media server. Things of interest:
1) your type of media streaming 2) your server spec 3) business/hobby? 4) h/w utilization (CPU, memory, network utilization) I appreciate any feed back or pointer to the right direction to obtain this kind of data. Thanks |

RE: server utilization profile
Hello Floyd:
Here is what I use to stream an HD video library live on the Internet: 1. Doing flash streaming - it's the most reliable option if we reffer to the video response time and not only. 2. As a server I use FMS 3.5 because of the efficient video encoding and rich interactive streaming functionality 3. I am doing this from the office to stream our video content so it's not a hobby, it's a pro activity. Here is a part of the videos encoded: http://www.thehdstandard.com/hd-video-samples/ 4. Here is the configuration used for streaming HD (that is a minimum required configuration): Configuration Let me know if there are any other things I can answer for you.
