seeking webcasting suggestions and vendors
Hello,

One of our clients for whom we are putting together a video shoot budget for a May 11-12 New York event is exploring the idea of a live webcast. We need to come up with ideas and cost on how to produce this live webcast of a morning seminar and possibly of a wine event (wine tasting) following that same afternoon. Therefore I am looking to get in touch with service, software and equipment providers who can assist with either do-it-yourself options or a full-service scenario. We have been told that there is no need to archive the event – it would be intended for people who are not able to attend the seminar or event to be able to view it live via the web. The location would be at a 3rd party venue and the webcast wold be for May 12th.

I would appreciate any help on:

- what questions to ask the client
- what options are there for do-it-yourself options or a full-service scenario.
- price ranges from low budget to mid-budget for live streaming for 1/2 day to 1 day
- Names of companies that focus on webcasts for business/corporate live events (vendors please submit your offers off-list)

Thanks in advance!

RE: seeking webcasting suggestions and vendors
Hello Julie:

I read your post and please let me present to you a professional broadcasting solution which I am using. It is very easy to use and allows you to stream LIVE HD. All you need is a computer connected to the Internet, a video camera or webcam and the software. You can start broadcasting in a few minutes. I can show you some demos if you are interested with blinkotv.

Best regards
Catalin
